Every day, he got into his car and drove.
Every day, he was free.
He could just keep going. Drive to the mountains, or the lake, or the forest, or a city far away.
He could go on wild adventures, travel to exotic places, see how folks lived over there.
Ride elephants, jump out of planes, dance with a stranger, read a book in the park. He could see the sun set over the ocean a thousand miles away.
Instead, he went to work. And when the day was done, he drove home.
Every day.
