Ndaba Sibanda is a Zimbabwean-born writer. He hails from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe`s second largest city.
His work is a bold expression of the struggles of the ordinary people of his country. He delves into both the universal and specific conditions that the people of Zimbabwe find themselves in. Sibanda is dedicated to his contemporaries in the literary world of Southern Africa and his personal literary contribution as exemplified below:
He is a former National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) nominee, a Writers Get Together Association chairperson, a book editor, conference producer and researcher.
In 2005, his nationally acclaimed book, Love O’clock was published. In 2006, he edited a poetry anthology, IT`S TIME… In 2007 he was in a team of young writers` editors/mentors on a British council project, Echoes of the Young. 2010 saw him contribute to an international edition -Poems for Haiti, a South African anthology. In 2012 he contributed to two international poetry anthologies,namely SNIPPETS and Voices For Peace. THE DEAD MUST BE SOBBING, is one of his a poetry anthologies set to published in 2013.
