Thanks! These are helpful, but I'm more looking for other people writing about their journey (sorry I should have been more clear). I would love to be able to read along and follow someone else's process.
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but I haven't found what I am looking for anywhere else on the forum. I am looking for blogs about writing self-help/motivational books. I would really like to find ones that discuss the entire book process from idea generation to layout and writing to self-publishing. There seem to be tons for other genres, but I can't find any for self-help/motivational and the writing process is vastly different than most other genres. I hope someone has something!
Hello all! I'm new to the group and just starting out on my writing journey. For years, my family and friends have been telling me I should write a book on all the "life hacks" I learned while working as a professional nanny to celebrities and executives. Now that I'm a stay-at-home mom, I've finally found the time to get started on it!

I'm trying to write something similar to The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, but more related to being a mom and juggling life. All I have so far are all my tips, tricks, and ideas, but I'm really looking for guidance on how to organize everything and get started writing. I would ultimately like to get this on Amazon. I would love help! Are there any good websites, writing workshops, books, or guides that you recommend?
This is a great list of transition words. Thank you so much as this is something I constantly struggle with (no one likes to see a page full of ands and alsos).
Has anyone ever come across a resource like this tailored towards non-fiction (like self-help or lifestyle...similar to Stephen Covey's books)? I would really like to find something like this to guide me in writing my book, but everything I find is mainly tailored towards fiction (character and plot development, which I don't need). Thanks for your help!
