Just dropping by to say hi. I am going to sit awhile and re-read a book 'Guilty Pleasures.' My wife is recovering from having a root canal, and I am sure she would prefer a little quiet today.
Salutations to all!

Anna, I saw Alice Cooper in Charlotte, NC, in 1973 as a teenager. I was an usher for the venue.

I will have a cuppa and sit quietly for a while.
Good afternoon everyone. I brought some light mint herbal tea as well as a dozen assorted bagels and honey.

I will take a pecan divine, a ginger snap, as well as a few older cookies. I hope you do not mind if I take a few cookies home to my grandkids. I like older cookies and would not want to see them go to waste.

Rumpled man, did my wife drop by? I see that you had outbreaks of tumult and shouting, and she did go out this morning.

I have had a couple of bad days and could not make it online, but things are much better today.

Have a great day, everyone!
The sounds of my new kittens racing and pouncing about my room and meowing, as well as my youngest grandson joyfully yelling and playing in the next room. All of this among the tap-tap-tap of the keyboard and a constant background of tinnitus-infested ears buzzing. It is known as the 'Sounds of Grandpa's Life.'
Godzilla, the original scourge of pollution.

Romantic or comedy movie?
The testing scene is so moving for the duke's son and the meaning of the movie's premise. Pain is the mind-killer, so true.

Dune is one of my favorite sci-fi universes. I hope the 2021 version lives up to its hype. This film only covers the first half of the book 'Dune,' so it is probably the start of at least a two-part film series.

Oo, someone who has seen the old movie serial Batman. You get major cool points from me for that. I'll should see if it is floating around on Youtube or something.

It is on YouTube as well as its 1949 serial series.
My favorite and most interesting Batman movie was the original 'Batman' premiered in 1943 during WWII. WWII played a considerable influence in the series. 'Batman' was a propaganda piece against the Japanese full or racist stereotypes. It is an excellent study of how the government used media as a propaganda tool. The movie was distributed as a weekly serial series, one chapter each week for the 15 chapter series. Actor Lewis Wilson played Batman. He was the first live-action Batman.

The series was re-released in 1965 and usually using all 15 episodes as an afternoon matinee. The re-release was very popular, especially in college towns due to its campy nature. Less than a year later, 'Batman' starring Adam West, made its TV debut, which, bit by bit, led to the plethora of Batman and Batman-related movies, TV shows, and video games.
I am on a rewatch binge of 'Stargate SG1.' Presently in season 3. Liz and I have been watching 'Elementary,' a different take on Sherlock Holmes where Lucy Lui plays Watson based in modern-day New York City.
My son fixed us some pork chop sandwiches with lettuce and corn on the cob with honey butter.

What's up? Lots to celebrate on this Hump Day. For our baseball fanatics, today is the date for MLB pitchers and catchers to report for spring training. Many claim that's a much better sign that spring will arrive eventually than any groundhog foolishness.

Baseball is one of my greatest joys—the American pastoral game. With baseball's return, I hope that the world will start returning to a more normal place.

A cup of herbal tea and a couple of butterscotch marshmallow crunch cookies that Sara donated sounds great. I have never had a butterscotch marshmallow crunch cookie before, and it sounds like an epicurean delight.

BTW, Sara, it took 3 hours for my wife to get home on the train because of a foot of snow that had happened the night before in Chicago. I love snow!

For my mother. She died a few years ago. I wish I could remember her face.
