Tart-tare
Gosh, editing your own work can be a tedious business. But at last it's just about done and early chapters of the historic novella ( Regency period) could begin bleeding onto these pages this week. Remember, I did say I wanted to have a ready flow to stop folk being tired of waiting. The chapters have been kept relatively short too, for the same reason. Still have some problems to resolve--like, choosing an appropriate title and deciding which genre to choose for it--there is a love story there, but there is as much about the exploits of certain animals and the class divide. Got to make my mind up.
Wow, after all that I think I'll plop myself in an easy chair in the corner there and have a cup of hot chocolate and a couple of Sara's tempting football cookies. Then to solve those problems and get chapter one out.

I love all things Peanut.
So do I. I hope you've left some, Gill. Calorfies or not the cake was delicious . Now I'm going to feel so guilty biting the head off Charlie Brown. I introduced my son to a Peanuts cartoon when he was nine years old--he loved it so much he still asks for a Charlie Brown paper back at Christmas ( even though he's nearing 60 years of age!). With Peanuts you never grow up.
Enjoy your day,everyone.
The only good reason to call in today is to wish Sara, a very happy birthday! And maybe pinch a morsel of James' delicious-looking cake, complete with a hot chocolate. Yum!
Then it's back to the historical novella which is approaching the final chapters. Editing as a whole piece will follow, before I try it out chapter by chapter on you willing folk. Before a full scale novella. That's what Dickens used to do---serialise and then publish. (Not giving myself airs, am I?)

Rough week I caught a nasty cold on Christmas day
Snap! Sara. Wouldn't you hope that colds would respect Christmas? Mine came on the big day, too. By the third day I was coughing continuously, so without much hope I contacted the doctor's surgery and lo and behold a reserve doctor was at my door within 2 hours. Blood pressure checked, temperature checked, chest stethescoped and a 'mild' infection diagnosed. Antibiotics approved---a threat to any New Year's imbibing! A pleasant young man who left with the thought-provoking comment, "You're in good condition considering your age." Thanks very much.
Still, Gill , I guess a chest cold is minor to having one stiffened leg at this time of year---best of luck when the therapy starts. But you will be more careful in the future won't you?
