Who expects insult
Will probably find just that
In every word
Fortunately I am a fan of kindness and friendly attitudes. Welcome Red.
Universal agreement? Surrender it to you?
Let me tell you now in French: "Monsieur, vous etes fou!".
I doubt that you will listen, as stubborn as you are.
But I'll come out as winner, all else is too bizarre.
Ironing laundry
Will never be my hobby
Life can be boring

Do not think that just because,
A friendly warning given,
Means that either of you
won't from this place be driven.
be off with you for 'pon my word
If you come back you'll feel my sword!

What dost thou wish, oh dragon queen
Thy shiny toothpick thou displayest
Whilst thine threats are rarely seen
Pray, dost thou know just what thou sayest
I beg thee, put that thing back where it came from
And pray withdraw thy vile remarks
Thou remindest me of a puppy
That cannot bite, although it barks

Oh and Andy, clear the way
You'd better give some room
If I were you, I'd start to run
Or stand and face your doom

Ah, excuse me, but did I not make a post BEFORE Anna's?

Maybe I imagined it...
You did. Don't be sad, it happens to everyone...

I really need a hug. Like a real, long, bear hug.
*Hugging Adi*
I'm afraid you'll have to settle for a long distance digital hug, but I send it with all the warmth I can spare...
I'm sorry dears, but I refuse to hear that lady sing
I'd rather hear some syncopation and a little swing
Her song is really wasted, she had better shut her face
Because I am not listening nor giving up this place

As the endtime nears, I wonder. Have I been as good as I thought I was, or did I not reach far enough? Did I do all I could? I did terrible things that had to be done, but was I right, was it truly necessary? I guess it is good that I keep questioning myself. Doubt can be good at times. It can keep us humble. I often need humble, but I wish I had more satisfaction. I always wanted to leave the world a better place, but it seems I have been unsuccessful in that. Why do things seem worse now than 30 years ago? Maybe it is not worse it just seems like it to me. I am not as happy as I once was, perhaps that is what interferes with a proper evaluation of the truth? Maybe I am no longer able to really know what is true anymore?

Roland, I've only had the honor of knowing you for a short while, but during that time I've learned at least this about you: You are an openminded man, easy to approach, always nice to interact with, with a warm heart and a gentle soul. I believe you love your dear ones unconditionally and you'd go through the gates of hell for them. I would not doubt your choices, because when you made them, they must have been the right ones. I am proud to have you as a friend.
So would I. One of the few places that still offer work that fits my experience, but it would put us out of reach of family, so alas...
I could get there on my bicycle in say a week, you'd have to swim a bit first.
Andy, Rebs and Anna too,
This is not the place for you
I am claiming all the rights
For the coming days and nights
To make this spot my property
For all the future world to see
So give it up, forget the fight
And find a deep dark hole to hide

not really sure you'd call it an occupation but he seems to love his job.

Markets so busy you struggled to walk round them

High streets that had lots and lots of interesting little shops (not the modern charity shops/estate agents/vape shops and fast-food outlets)

Cosy little cafes that sold home-cooked food

Red telephone boxes

Men wearing fedora hats (I've recently started wearing one!)

Women who made their own clothes (my mum made dresses for herself and my two sisters when we were all little kids)

Policemen on the beat in your area

Fireworks that were only heard on November 5th (in the UK)

Cars that had individuality and distinction, unlike modern 'clone cars' that all follow pretty-much the same design.

Busses that had hop-on/hop-off open platforms at the back and a conductor/conductress.

Fuel that doesn't cost and arm and a leg!

You would like Bavaria:

Busy Markets? Tick

Individual shops? Tick (And excellent department stores as we used to have)

Cosy cafes with excellent food? Tick

Men wearing hats? Tick (Maybe not fedora but Bavarian ones)

Policemen on the beat? Tick

Ok, 6 out of 11 isn't bad but there is one more excellent thing that happens in Bavarian towns and cities...

THE SHOPS DON'T OPEN ON SUNDAYS! HOORAY!!!

Bavaria it is.

I'll meet you at that nice little café in the corner of the market square, okay?

More than ok! How about a nice little café, ON the market?

Cool! That's only 7 hours and 4 minutes (691 km) away.
Fear not my friend, this is a little battle between AnnaMayZing and me, but apparently rhyme is contagious. It is however not mandatory... And btw, I believe you without checking.
I hope you're wrong for it implies the fat lady sang for you
And since we didn't hear her, 't must be 'cause your days are thru
Now that would be disturbing, I would miss you terribly
But I also would go on to try and claim this spot for me
