Movies: Madagascar or Shrek?
I write because it relaxes me and cheers me up. And what would I do with all the ideas in my mind if I don't write them? lol.
I share them online for the feedback I guess. No one in real life even knows I can write. lol

Like almost everyone here, it's an escape from reality to a new world where you can imagine the story in your mind as you read on. Sometimes I can relate to a particular character as well. Call it crazy, I was in love with harry potter's character when I was younger (and I don't mean daniel radcliffe) and so wanted to scratch Cho Chang's face when I read about her and harry.
I think I'm progressing. I used to be repetitive with my words and needed to review them all the time to change my sentences but now I find that I don't need to change much of my sentences when I review my work.
If the cover attracts my attention, I would read the résumé at the back and if it intrigues me, I will definitely get it. I have my favorite authors as well and my first choice would be their latest books but again, only I'm drawn to the résumé. If a friend recommends me a book and it fits with the themes I like, I'd definitely read it if they do convince me that it is worth to go for it
I really don't mind as long as the content is good and the author's style of writing is great enough to make me want to read it from beginning till the end. I enjoy reading a lot and the length of a story won't scare me but if I don't feel drawn to the plot itself, then I would not bother to complete it.
