Hi, everybody! I am sick and off work for the rest of the year due to a mishap at work, so the little one and I are at my mom's for a while. I entered a contest on the red site and was happy to even participate. I didn't win, but it did inspire me to write better and I am participating in the newest contest they have over there. I'll take some hot chocolate and cookies while I work on an article for my website.

I am reading "American Prometheus" about Robert Oppenheimer and the book the current movie is based upon. I have not seen the movie and thought I knew a bit about the subject. This book introduces so much more background and information.

I plan on reading that next

Morning, all! The air quality is horrible here in the Chicago area, and the kid is at camp today, so I'm home alone. I'll have a cup of coffee with extra cream and sugar.

Writing, reading, crocheting, photography, binge-watching an entire series of choice on one of the many streaming services I have, and YouTube

Hi, everyone! It's been very busy on my end. First up, my daughter is going to the first grade and is diagnosed with autism, but can function. I'm looking into ways to help her overcome and work closely with her doctors and the school she attends to make sure she can reach her fullest potential socially, emotionally, mentally, physically, and academically. She is really smart and has an aptitude for math, and wants to become a doctor.

As for me, I finally got my website back up and running, and I am trying to edit a video for posting to YouTube. I hope to have it done and posted by the end of this week.

My writing mojo has been coming back slowly. I decided to dust off a couple of old stories I have on here and turn them into a book for future publishing. I have so many ideas, that I actually found a few notebooks I wrote fragments of stories, and one I am working on completing before I let my editor tear it apart before I publish it.

Good evening, peeps! My friend came over and asked me to edit her resume and cover letter for a job she's applying to. Two hours later, she has a functioning resume and a cover letter that will get her the interview, and hopefully the job she's going after.

I'm working on revamping my website, adding a store there to sell accessories, and working on my first product as I type. I cannot say what it is, but it will be available once the site is up and running. I'm excited and can't wait to share it with you all.

Good morning, peeps! I just published my first new story onto the red site a few days ago and I can officially say that I am back in the writing saddle! A friend of mine is challenging me to turn my short story into a novella of sorts and get a paperback in my name. I can say "Challenge: Accepted". Are there coffee and cinnamon buns around? I'll have one of each, please

I've yet to venture to Disney, but there are preliminary plans to go. I would say my favorite Disney movie would be Freaky Friday, the version with a young Jodie Foster in the role of Anabel. Growing up the middle kid with two Golden children sisters, it was tough

Hi, everyone. It's been a while since I've been here. My little one is in kindergarten, learning how to read and write. She's barred from reading my more mature stories. I have some downtime and began a fresh new story or an essay, whichever one I'll post first.

Pumpkin spice latte has to come from Dunkin Donuts and bought in mid-October to me

Happy Friday! Ping, I can feel you on that part of your kid is taller than you. I'm taller than my mom and both my sisters. It's weird seeing my mom look up at me, and my little one may have inherited the height from me and her great-grandma, who was a tall woman. The secret to putting pen to paper is naps. I made a batch of peanut butter cookies for everyone.

Hello, everyone. Life is good, and I had a great few days ending August and am ready to tackle Blogtober on my website. The little one is in preschool and recently turned four and it seems like she was just born yesterday.

I see the site has a new design and I'm feeling it. I'm going to have a look around and get some writing done. I hope to have a new original piece up soon.

The little one is feeling a lot better and she's trying to climb into my lap to see what I'm doing on this laptop. I managed to get 1,000 words written in a story that turned out to be a Christmas story, but I'm still going to finish it. I'm the boss at work for the next week while my manager is on vacation, more like a staycation. I hope the pandemic is lifted and once it is, I'm hitting up Las Vegas hard.
Hello. The little one is sick with a high fever. She was taken into the ER last night to make sure it wasn't something serious. She doesn't have an ear infection, but I'll have to bring her back in case she starts tugging on her ears and her fever spikes again. So far, her fever is going down and she's in the living room playing with my tablet watching educational cartoons on YouTube.

I'm working on more articles for my website and a few new originals that need to be edited ASAP. I'll be at the table next to the window pounding away at my laptop.
Hello, everyone! It's been a hot minute since I've been in here. The little one is off at daycare and she's potty trained! I now work the night shift and my sleep schedule is out of whack. I have a story I started and the characters are finally talking to me. I also have a few musings that are being outlined, and a few on here I want to update, and I have an idea for a collection of essays and short stories I want to expand and self-publish. Keep this quiet, but I'm working on a little business venture, just waiting on the state to send me my approval letter and I can snatch the domain I have in mind. I should probably snatch it now and park it for now. I hope all is well with you guys and my website is up and working on a new article.
Hello, everybody. I've been going to work every day this week at 4:30 am for 10-hour shifts to get the workload down. I want my Saturdays back, so I can start writing again and return toeing consistent on my blog and my writings. Hopefully, things can return to normal, and not only I can resume my creative outlet; I can resume house hunting. I think chamomile tea will be nice.
Hello, everyone! My little one is talking more and starting to master potty training finally. I'm updating my blog with a new landing page and a video I'm about to film and maybe post to YouTube. I brought fresh apple turnovers for this lovely establishment and I'll take a frozen latte.
Good morning, everyone! I've come bearing gifts pf pancakes, eggs, sausage, toast and lots of bacon. A giant pot of coffee is brewing and I'm trying to flush (or is it flesh?) out the characters for a story that's written in fragments. It's not easy to write with a toddler trying to see what you're doing. I"ll be in the corner writing.
Is there any coffee available? I'll take mine strong with lots of cream and sugar. I'm almost done with Blogtober, and I was asked to participate in Blogvember and Blogmas. If I do, it'll be on a smaller scale. I do want to pervert the English language again with one of my newest pieces.
Hello, everyone! My mom had hand surgery and I made use of FMLA at work to take off and care for her until she regains use of her left hand. I missed a day of blogging for Blogtober, but I needed a day of rest after a long day of running around and operating on little sleep. The girl child stole my toothbrush and began brushing her tiny teeth with it. I got her a toothbrush of her own and flouride-free toothpaste, and she's coming along with potty training.

Did somebody say peanut butter cookies? I'm putting some of my fragments together and hopefully try to weave a story together.
Good evening, everyone. My latest assault on the English language for the back to school challenge is finally up for your reading pleasure. I'm also crunching to get four blog posts scheduled out for the Blogtober challenge. The building I'm living in is getting the extermination treatment, so the little one and I will be at my parents' home for a few days. Outside, the temperatures are starting to drop and it's time to get the space heater out. I'll have some dark roast coffee, with four creams, four sugars please.
Hello! I was in charge today for some reason at work. I told my supervisor that the plaster is falling from the ceiling thanks to the rain and there are leaks everywhere. I just got another post ready to be scheduled out. The little one commandeered my phone and is watching YouTube videos. I put it on some nursery rhymes and she just came up to me and said "Green." She's a two-year-old ball of energy that doesn't stop. I'll have an apple juice for her and green tea for me, please
I'll have some doughnuts.

I scheduled out three posts to go on my site for this week. I need a break from all of the writing I've been doing. I have a total of 50 post ideas for Blogtober and have to whittle some down or combine like post ideas. The little one is napping and I can clean up my kitchen before she wakes up demanding food or something else.
