So, I'm not sure how to apologize to the mods here - I submitted a story yesterday, then got a revelation about the plot a couple hours later, and pulled the story so I could rewrite it. I hope I didn't give someone some unnecessary work!

Welcome to Inspirations, Verity. It's good to have you here. The coffee is ready, according to Scott, and so is the hot water for tea. There are almost always cookies in the tins unless we had a run of cookie bandits. I doubt they are all gone and Sara is bringing in more later today.

I'm serving myself some coffee. That's what I am here for. That and greeting friends and newcomers to the day. It's still wet around here on the prairie. If we are lucky today it will not rain but the forecast calls for more rain coming for the next several days.

It's time to get to work on some writing. Does everyone want to join in?
