It was a good contest with lots of good writers. Congrats to Paperboy, Welsh Dreamer, Ping!, and all the other top 12!

Depends on my deadlines.

WYR write from the cuff, or have the story laid out with lots of notes?

In the message you said
you were going to bed
but I'm not done with the night
so I stayed up and read
got your words in my head
got me mixed up so I turned out the light
and I don't know how to slow it down

Thank you, Gypsy, an informative article. I understand the point and what it is now but I don't think it is for me.

I invite you to try again. I am by no stretch good ad Haiku, but my feeble attempts have made me think about saying two things at once, letting the reader fill in their own details, hinting at deeper truth without having to come out and say it, and double interpretations. It is meant to challenge you.

Brevity is often clarity.
I have seen and written poems deliberately for one or the other. Depends on the mood of the author more than anything.

I agree with KOF. More needs to be read aloud.
Fall is my favorite without a doubt. It's warm enough during the day, cold enough to enjoy a jacket or a snuggle. The trees always are so beautiful this time of year.
A friend here also is a member on another site. I followed her link. Thank you Rosepetals.
