I am a happily married man with a teenage daughter and two younger children [ages 4 and 6]. I work with homeless folk and also do some part time work within academia. I write lots of academic essays/articles and also mark lots of essays. I sometimes feel the need to get beyond the rigid world of academic writing by composing something a little more imaginative. I am not sure how creative I am, but I just try to write whatever ideas present themselves.
