I am a traveller, rarely in country for more than a few months. The people of the world fascinate me. Walking down a cobbled road in York, The Shambles, imagining two or three dozen butchers hanging their wares from windows in this narrow street more than three hundred years ago.

Meandering through the The French Concession in Shanghai among the colonial rulers of old and their glorious homes. The thrill of finding that perfect hidden restaurant in Barcelona that the tourists have yet to discover, or a beach in Mexico attended only by local sea urchin divers.
and tender.

I am, at my core, a city guy but do enjoy the serenity of the country side. I love beaches and mountains, the English, French and Italian countryside but at heart the noises, smells and convenience of a city fill my heart.

So that's me, traveller, businessminded service man, cook, lover, Italian and dog owner, all that apparently "without a pot to piss in!"
