Love this comment. There are many different writers in the world, and their actions and reactions to story prompts vary as much. I enjoyed the honesty here. This writer will wait for that magic moment, when they feel that their Muse has joined them. I think it is important too, to wait until inspiration joins me before I begin to add my two cents worth of a story. Cheers!

I might add, I had my doubts about entering at first. But wanted to try anyway.
The good news is there are now 18 fine entries!

I didn't realize that voting was closed to guests on the competition. It doesn't really matter for me. I only allow members to vote on my stories. Good luck all. It will be over soon.

Yes, it had to be done because people were cheating (voting multiple times, etc.). At some point, guest voting is allowed on the stories, but I can't remember whether it's when the competition closes or when the winners are announced.

I'm fairly sure guest voting makes up the bulk of the scores on my work. I promote my writing on other sites, as well as letting family and friends know when I've posted something.

You have thereby infringed rule 5 of the standard competition entry rules:

There is a one story entry limit for submission into the competition.


Deleting a previously approved entry and resubmitting another one is clearly against the rules.

I turned off guest voting because of some trolls a year or two back. I guess this doesn't apply to me, though it would be nice if nonmembers could vote on my stories again, but takes one troll to ruin it all.
