To be honest, I think it just began. And I don't think it began for any reason, it just kinda happened. Not because of some deity or a bunch of particles exploding, but just because.

I've been offered two bass bodies, a neck and any other bits that can be salvaged for £50. I can't really afford it, but it would be cool to have a project and I'd love to assemble my own bass. Think I should just go for it?

If it's something you truly love and would make for something awesome for you, then yeah. If it's way out of your price range, I wouldn't. But that's what I did when I bought my guitar. Took a month or two, but I was able to pay it off, and it's something I cherish most. I'm sure you'd be in guitar heaven if you were able to work something out.

If you had the chance to do something fun, but was illegal, would you?
Lurker
That would totally depend on what the activity was. Murder? Probably not lol. Graffiti? Yes, oh hell yes. hahaha

If you could meet any celebrity, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Forum Facilitator
I would have to say no, but I have had stories / poems turn into some strange dreams later on.

If you could have any restored classic car or truck to drive on nice sunny days, what would it be?

Do you ever eat late at night?
Rookie Scribe
Worst chat up line I've had used on me that worked...
Haha, okay, so one time this guy approached me at a club and he said "How much do polar bears weigh?" and I said "I don't know" and he said "Enough to break the ice, hi I'm Jared"
It took me about a minute to get it, but when I did, I was laughing so hard he had to sit me down. We ended up hanging out that night, but it didn't really go anywhere after that, but he was nice and whatever, so I guess that's a point for that line.

How many cookies have you ever eaten in one sitting?
Active Ink Slinger
I don't know if I can give you a specific answer to that question. My Italian grandmother once made a huge batch of cookies and stored them in coffee cans in her hallway closet. I was about 7 or 8 years old. I sat in the closet and ate as many of the cookies as I could. By the way, they were chocolate chip cookies. My grandmother, my grandfather and my father all found me while I was eating the cookies. I think they all had a good laugh.

What would you do if you suspected that you were in love with an imaginary person?
Forum Facilitator
Okay, well, this is rather messed up, but I have been in love with an imaginary person. It was one of my characters and eventually I had to talk myself out of it. It was almost like breaking up with her. Pretty heartbreaking, actually.

Do you ever find it difficult to ask a question on these sorts of threads?

Oh most definitely! Like... right now...

Um.

Do any of y'all know of a classical (or if not that, then contemporary/modern) monologue that could be seen as talking about child abuse or (preferably from the victim's POV)? (I need it for Philena's next chapter...)

As always, kindness is free, so please consider that when replying to someone rather than the alternatives. You never know what's going on in their life that you may not see. Love, Light & Blessed Be, friends.

I know a few but Margret from Faust I think kinda resembles what you're looking for. Faust sold his soul so gain powerful magic. Margret was his lover and she went insane killing her baby (Faust was the father) after he killed her mother and her brother. So not sure if that is what you are looking for but hope it helps.

Do you hate ticks?
Forum Facilitator
Ticks? As in ticks from clocks? If I'm in a room alone with it, yeah. Else, I don't mind. 'Course if you be talking about ticks as in the insect, I ain't keen on them either, but they do serve a purpose, namely food for other animals and birds and such, so they ain't all bad.

Have you ever had a "House" moment? (If you've seen house, you'll know what I mean, but I guess to explain, it would be a "eureka" moment. House moment is better though.)

It is probable i have. But i cannot recall it now.

Do you believe in coincidence?
Active Ink Slinger
To a point, but ONLY to a point. And, it depends upon the nature of them. Like all the coincidences surrounding the assasinations of Lincoln and JFK. Given the time between the two events , YES. However, a string of them within a short time frame involving the same people? THEN, I get skeptical.

Do you love nature or fear it?
Active Ink Slinger
I think a little of both.. I love being outside but I don't want a grizzly to eat me.. This to me is the most extreme point.. But normally I love nature it's beautiful.. You can always learn something..

Ok then.. Do you believe in fate?
Active Ink Slinger
Again, to an extent. Like several others around here, I too am a combat veteran; and one thing that every combat veteran knows is that, while training can help somewhat, the biggest factor in determining who lives and dies in combat is LUCK! It doesn't matter how well trained or tough you maybe, if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time, your number is up. However, not everything in life is predetermined, self will also enters into the picture.

What qualities do you look for in a mate?

This may seem rather self absorbed but, why hasn't my stuff been as popular as before?
Active Ink Slinger
I can't give you a concrete answer all I can say is that SOMETHING has changed. It may be that some of your readership is no longer here. OR, it could be that your style has changed, OR, your work may have become repetitious. ( I haven't read ANY of it as of yet. When I do, maybe I'll be able to shed more light on it for you. ;) )
