Soulmates are souls in sync.. you can love someone and not be mated or synced.. ie... imbalanced..

Is respect in a relationship more important than love?
Lurker
No, but it's not lesser either. They're equal parts. Respecting someone is love and loving someone means you respect them. It's a gray area really.

Do prefer paper back books over 'E-books'?
Forum Facilitator
I do both.. but I often find E-books distracting..

Do you think a vegan lifestyle is healthy?
Lurker
Well....no. Your body actually needs dairy and meat, not a whole bunch of it though. When you deprive it of what it needs, you go into withdrawals. What your body does with withdrawals isn't pretty, so no. I think a full balanced meal, mainly containing veggies and fruit is healthy. You do need meet and dairy though!

Do you think drinking water is better than flavored water? i.e., vitamin water, sobe life water, Gatorade etc.
Forum Facilitator
yes.. drinking plain water has a purpose.. it is the bodies way of flushing toxins.. if you drink additives you are putting in toxins..

What is your favorite dessert?
Thirtieth anniversary cheese cake from cheesecake factory.

Same.

Hot Fudge Sundae Banana Split.. with nuts and whipped cream..

Where is your favorite vacation place?
Lurker
My couch. I've never been anywhere else. xD

Same question.

Our time share in the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania. For one week a year, my wife and I get to live like rich people at a fraction of the cost that many others staying pay.

What profession would you like to be the best at? I'd sell my children to be an astronaut, if we had a space program.

Essentially the same answer, but with a difference: I want the business to be BIG! (Currently, I am a small business owner, but I'm not very good at it. I, sadly, need someone to kick my arse into shape. Though some competition would be nice too).

If you could afford to sit around and do nothing, would you?

I wouldn't be doing nothing... I would be somewhere mildly warm with you, cuddling and reading and writing and ... more cuddling... but yes, I would. If I could afford it.

same, so someone else can answer.

I can't sit idle, I just do something ... terrible or .. or anything :P

If you're gonna be a superhero, who'd you like to be? (not the existing ones, something different ;) )
Active Ink Slinger
Split-Personality Man! Then I could go and smite the evil-doers... no I won't. I'll just stay here. I don't care about the bad guys... yes I do. I shall smite the evil and make our wold safe for... no. I'm not leaving this room. I don't feel like it.

What is your favorite non-alcoholic drink?
You can't get there from here, because when you get there you're still here and here is now there.

Root beer!

Mead, rum, or ale? *If you haven't had any, just pick which one you think you'd like most*
Advanced Wordsmith
Water.

Which would you rather, mortality and the powers of a god? Or immortality and no special power? (I personally prefer the former if that's allowed)
Lurker
I'd rather be a mortal and have the powers of a god--I already get bored to death on a daily basis, I don't need an eternity of it.

You see a dirty and mangy kitten walking through the street. What do you do?
Active Ink Slinger
I kneel close to it, though not too close to scare it away, put my hand down on the ground and call it quietly "kitty kitty kitty" ... when it comes to me, I let it sniff my hand and then I pull it into my arms and take it home until the next day when I take it to the vet, then I start on a quest to find a good home for it.
Ah, kittens. I'd do that for any animal, by the way.

Hm. You see a wallet on the ground, its contents spilling out- the guy, no gal, has GOT to be rich! There are hundreds falling out... what do you do? Do you return the wallet with its contents? Keep it? Something else?

An overflowing wallet. Well, I've actually been in that situation. I went out for a walk and found a wallet. It had ID in it, but it had no address, only a national insurance number card. So I looked the details up on Google and found the address, returned it and went on my walk. I'd probably be tempted to take the cash, but my sense of good and my conscience wouldn't allow it, so I'd return it.

Same question.

Same thing happened to me. My wife and I went to the bank. As we were leaving, we saw an envelope on the floor. It was full of money and a bank slip from the withdraw. We went to the teller and turned it in. They deposited it in her account. I couldn't live with myself if I took someones money. If I couldn't find whose money it was I would donate it to a charitable cause.

If you found out you would live to be 200 years old, would it change your approach to life?

Yes; I'd be twice as cynical as I already am. Not to mention severely depressed that I'd have to watch my friends die before me.

Which search engine do you trust the most?
Forum Facilitator
None of them. I use Google the most, but that's because they already know everything there is to know about me. They probably know more than me about me. Which is scary on a level I hardly knew existed.

If you've read any of my Random Moment series, you'll know I've just posted the penultimate part. Will you be sad to see it end? If you haven't read it, can I be an insolent bugger and tell ya to go and read it right now? (Okay, after you've answered the question!)

I would be sad to see it end. But mad that you have really short chapters!

Where has the time gone?
Lurker
It hasn't gone anywhere because it never existed. "Time" is no more than our way of tracking the whereabouts of the cosmos. Technically, WHEN is actually WHERE.

Why can't I find a nice baboon to play xbox with?

You might like my new series then. It has slightly longer chapters, a little bit of fruitiness and a boatload of adventure.

Anyway, on to Thodin's question now: the trouble is that you're looking for a baboon. You should be looking for a chimp, or a howler monkey. That way, when you beat them, you can always have a good swordfight afterwards. Chimps and howlers love a good duel.

Have you ever heard a song and wondered where the hell the idea cane from?

If you could only use one web site other than Stories Space for the rest of your life, which site would it be?
You can't get there from here, because when you get there you're still here and here is now there.

So much potential for a dirty answer.

I'd have to say facebook, because it's my main means of communicating with my friends.

How do you deal with falling in love with someone you can't be with?
Forum Facilitator
There are different types of being with somebody. If the love is unrequited, I usually mope and moon for a long time. If it's a question of distance, I'm always optimistic. Questions regarding love are difficult, but the one thing is that love is lovely.

When you want to buy something new, but can't afford it, and don't really need it, but absolutely want it, do you buy it and try to justify it?

NO...unless it was a true necessary purchase and not just a "want it"

Which do you consider easiest to convey a message / sentiment ... poems or stories?
