Of course, not only is it appropriate, it is actually required. You see, the kilt is usually so damned heavy, that the kilt shouldn't blaw up. Aye, am a true Scotsman.

Have you ever been so impressed with a purchase, that you were actually quite stunned by it?

what do dreams mean?
Active Ink Slinger
It depends on the dream... dreams of death, despite what many may think it means, it means rebirth... dreams where you're running from something is usually a fear or anxiety of something in your waking life. Etcetera.

What is 'beautiful'?

As always, kindness is free, so please consider that when replying to someone rather than the alternatives. You never know what's going on in their life that you may not see. Love, Light & Blessed Be, friends.

Beautiful is hard to encapsulate. Beautiful can be something as simple as a flower, or as complex as a person. It can be as sweet as sugar, or sour as lemon, but there is one thing, and it is a universal truth: Beauty is unmistakable. You, Aria, are beautiful, even though you don't believe it. There is so much beauty about you: You're cute in the face, you are kind and considerate to your friends and many more more qualities. Of course, I might be saying this because I'm biased, but that doesn't change the truth.

Do you think life from other planets will be friendly..
Active Ink Slinger
I think it depends on how we treat them when they arrive. If we great them with guns and an army they will not be friendly, they will retaliate. But If we are kind and welcoming we may be able to live in peace.

Can I talk to someone about a problem I am having?

Do you think I could have super powers?
Forum Facilitator
yes you do.. rebelpower..

why do opposites attract?
Active Ink Slinger
You mean you DON'T have super powers? I'm astounded!!

Why do you defend "the end of the line?"
Opposites attract because they have what the other wants. Like how a brunette wants blond hair and a blond wants red and so on.

I defend the end of the line because I can, because I want to, and because you can't stop me.

Do you dare challenge me?
Forum Facilitator
challenge seems a bit over the top.. but I'll flip you for it.. heads I win.. tails you lose..

Where did the names of colors come from?
Lurker
According to some clever folk on line, the primary colours got their names from the old High German, many, many moons ago, in the days when the Germanic Anglo-Saxon tribes were semi-barbaric and did not have writing... so it could actually have been in the last couple of years... Thus no record survives of how these colours got their names or who named them so I'm not entirely sure how they came to that conclusion in the first place (??)
Apparently then, some English Chap called Sir Roseart Crayola, decided to name the 7 colours of the rainbow after 7 of his friends. But then, this is only for the colours in English, and only covers 7 of them, so I looked at a few more websites and learn't this... Of the secondary colors, Green comes from the Old English word Growan, "to grow"; Orange comes from the Sanskrit word Narange, which is the word for the orange tree; Purple is from the Latin word Purpura, which refers to the fantastically expensive phoenician purple dye. But, no one actually knows who came up with these names.
And just for the record, Mr Dreamcatcher... I have spent the better part of the afternoon digging through my paint tubes looking at some of the ridiculous names and I'm curious to know what the was being smoked, or drunk, or both perhaps, when some bright spark came up with the colour name "Ivory Black".
