e're getting in this part of the world at the moment, I have to hold my judgement. (High 20's, touching 30).

I have no earthly idea what high 20's, touching 30's is. I come from a very backward county and my generation has to die off before it becomes the norm. You know America is so smug, they think they know best. And we have a lot of people don't forget.

At least we are into a dry summer so grass only needs doing every 2-3 weeks so I

We have anything but a dry summer. Big thunderstorm this afternoon and probably 3" of rain. Grass needs a machete around here. I go out and spray deer repellant on my favortie plants daily, then it rains. So I get to do it the next day even though they are eating them while it is raining, I'm sure of it! We have the happiest farmers you have ever seen. They are making hay for the third time this spring/summer. I'm sure they will have enough hay for the nation.

Just watched a movie, The Lovely Bones. Interesting; I had read the book. But while well acted, I ended up crying. Not cheerful.

The iced tea sounds perfect. With such a selection of cookies, it will be nice to have cool tea.

Is married. Happily. Very happily.

I just watched a Miss Marple on PBS. Lovely shows on PBS, and I have three channels to choose from. Broadchurch is repeating, and new season of The Fall. Neither are new, but terrific programs.

The one plus about the weather here is being able to grow a garden full of fresh vegetables and fruit. I made a quart of pesto today, fresh tomato, peach salsa, and a smoked tomatillo salsa.

Gill, sweet lady, I have told friends about Appolo's adventure as it was so heartwarming and a miracle. The wonderful weather is great for growing things, I absolutely agree. We are to have storms tonight and maybe most of tomorrow. I always wish we could ship some of this rain out west where they are so desperate. I can't plant food plants because of lack of sun and a rather large herd of deer that comes everyday to eat whatever is in my yard. We have had large heavy fencing wire circles around the tomato plants, but the reach down into the top and trim the sides of all leaves. Just not worth the trouble. I think it is wonderful that you have such lovely things to put up.

Scott, here's hoping they can fix your service.

There is a rumor that Anna is dating this man. I am not surprised; she knew I fancied him.

I am slowly picking myself back up. Thankfully we had a vacation at the beach lined up, so I could do some recovering by the ocean.

It is hard, hard, hard. Loss of a beloved pet is hard. I can understand and sympathize. You are right to dwell on the joy that boy brought you for those 15 years. Was he the one that got out and was gone for so long?

Hope the beach was enjoyable. We've been having a lot of rain and storms off and on.

It's so good to see you back. Hope that wonderful family of yours is doing well.
