It’s August 1st on the East Coast of the US. Just sayin’.

Haha, I needed to sleep, but it is up now.
The entries in this contest were wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed reading them. It made it hard for the judges, which is something we always want.

6. AnnaMayZing: Over The Top

7. Blackdog: Water Convalescence

8. Verity: We’ll Be Home By Christmas

Good book! I just cracked open his latest, Hail Mary. Good, nerdy, hard sci-fi.

I'll have to check that out.

I listened to The Martian not long afterward and watched the movie. I will say, I loved that Wil Wheaton did the narration because to me, his voice was perfect, but I think Matt Damon was the only person that could have pulled off Mark Watney in the movie version.

I'm currently reading two.

Soon by Lois Murphy

and

A Trick of Light: Stan Lee's Alliances

I'm watching Lovecraft Country on HBO Max and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. It has some really strong actors in it.

The main characters have to survive racism in the 1950s and supernatural monsters. I know it's not going to be for everyone, but I think it's far better than some have given it credit for. I was sad to hear they aren't doing a Season 2. I read that it's because the first season was based on a book and they couldn't get a script together good enough to go ahead with another season. A shame really.
Have I mentioned how much I dislike summers in the south?
I know we all want the same goal and that is for the site to do well. Sometimes it's about timing and that's okay. I have faith that more will come in before the closing date of July 22 and I look forward to reading them.

Thankfully there is no comment/vote limit here.

As of right now, we have,

Verity: We’ll Be Home By Christmas

Survivor: The Little Survivor

AnnaMayZing: Over The Top

KatarinaTechgoddess: I'm Still alive

Please make sure you read and support your fellow readers/writers.

Thank you all for your continued support of the site!

This is the song that is currently playing in my ear. Thank you, Eurovision, I have a few songs from there on my playlist.

I just resubscribed to Disney+ so I could watch Loki and Winter Soldier. Haven't seen WS, but Loki is SO GOOD! Watching Owen Wilson and Tom Hiddleston banter is really fun. I love the way they are expanding out the Marvel universe.

I loved WandaVision, even if it made me sad all over again. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was brilliant and I love Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan's connection.

So far, I'm enjoying Loki as well. I have so many theories and it's been fun trying to remember all the comics I read as a kid.
