Thank you...

And also let's address the issue of zoo-viruses spread between species.

There is a reason why these viruses spread from China... Open air markets stack animals of different species and allow for transmission of viruses. Live animals are stacked on top of one another with no regard for disease transmission. Viruses spread and mutate. It's only a matter of time before a virus wipes out humans.

And please don't tag me with the title of cultural insensitivity. You can not lock up dogs, bats and salamanders and sell them to people as meat if you have any basic knowledge of microbiology.

This has long been an issue with me, and I expect more pandemics to occur in the future.

The storage of animals for human consumption is a breeding ground for viruses. We can't do this anymore.
This year was pretty good for movies.

Uncut Gems is probably my favorite of the year.

I also loved Jojo Rabbit, Queen and Slim, The King, The Nightengale, 1917, Bombshell...
It took me three times to finish Lord of the Rings... Actually it took me three times just to finish "Fellowship of the Ring." I got super tired of Bilbo's birthday party.

Once I got past that, it was a breeze. But at 12 years old, all that first 400 pages is a bit tough to get through.

I have had books that I set aside and then come back to...

Devil in the White City... King Leopold's Ghost...

I usually alternate between reading and audio books so I'll get it one way or the other.

Thanks Survivor, I understand.
I am sorry for that, because I genuinely love both to read and write. Most sites allow publishing with just a check if the story meet the rules, if any. I know here and the red site value proper English so I was looking forward to be able to publish here and see how my mistakes can be corrected. I understand that it can be considered a job, and I'm not looking to hire an editor. I write a lot because I can leave my fantasy free. I mostly write for my own pleasure, but hoped I could share some of the stories here.
I'll try to find someone somewhere else who can be willing to proofread, otherwise I'll keep writing for myself. Even if 'sloppy' sites I could probably publish the stories, I'm just not comfortable enough with publishing something that may not be written properly.
Regards.

How many "words" are you talking about?

Morning, Larry. thanks for the coffee and Congrats on the success of that cracked nut thing you were in. ;)

Is it just me, or does it seem like deviled eggs, leftover after some pot luck type event, are rare to non-existent?

Apropos the play is named that. Poor male dancers in those tights. That's gotta hurt.

And I don't recall not ever having my balls busted for waffling on attending.

The Nutcracker Or Ballbuster. Both are acceptable titles for that classic.

Coffee with some cherry whisky, please. A wee bit chilly here today. But it's white. Christmas isn't Christmas unless it's white. I'm talking about snow, if anyone was wondering or concerned.
I wish more people would come to SS. It's disheartens me to see so few writers and readers.
Its afternoon and I took a day off from my shop. Probably spend the afternoon watching football.
Even if I never get any comments, I too have some reading material for anyone who'd care to look.
It has been forever since the last time i been on here. Guuuuuys, I'm excited to write.
I better not be hearing any complaints from the lot of ya! Don't make me write another piece that no one will vote on

Very chilly today. -6 C over night. I think I'll take an ice bath to get ready for winter.

Some frozen nitrogen on ice please. A little lemon flavoring would be nice too.

My wife's old Win7 box still gets dusted off from time to time as backup or because it's the only one we have with a CD/DVD drive now. Slow as molasses for the most part but has its uses.

I wonder if there have been any technological advancements in computing since I last purchased a computer.

SSDs (solid state drives) are the biggie. They use the same memory technology as in phones and thumb drives to create a smaller, lighter and, above all, FASTER hard drive than the old spinning magnetic platter. They are also quieter (no spinning platter) and allow for smaller form factors (my wife's "desktop" is smaller than a lot of laptops). We use them in everything at work now. So my one recommendation if you're going to replace that old Dell is get something with an SSD.

Likely Larry's left some around here. I'm putting the kettle for my morning cuppa.

I was being facetious. Everyone is so literal today. I told my neighbour to go f... and he did.
I hear ya on the yard work. I think we have one final mow/mulch of grass and leaves too. Gutters are on the agenda. So is picking a few buckets of crab apples to make crap apple jelly. I might attempt some crab apple liquor of some sort too.

Gill, computer issues suck. Just glad you don't have an overseas call center to deal with. I keep it local now. But we are down to our last computer. I told my kids we aren't getting another until this Dell (bad purchase) craps out. How old is it, you ask? There's a Windows Vista sticker on the CPU. So, twelve or thirteen years old. A while ago, I did upgrade to Windows 10 without issue, so I have that. I wonder if there have been any technological advancements in computing since I last purchased a computer.

Darn. Almost 5 am here. I do dislike waking in the middle of the night.

Herbal tea sounds like the ticket. I'll just sneak a sip of my fellow Canuck's.

Good Morning, Sunday!!!
