Legit question, if you ask me...

SUBJECT: morning funny

A three-year old walks over to a pregnant lady while waiting with his mother in a doctor’s surgery.
“Why is your stomach so big?” – he asks.
“I´m having a baby.” – she replies.
“Is the baby in your stomach?” – he asks, with his big eyes.
“Yes, it is.” – she says.
“Is it a good baby?” – he asks, with a puzzled look.
“Oh, yes. A really good baby.” – the lady replies.
Shocked and surprised, he asks: “Then why did you eat him?”

Anyone here want to offer their input on a book cover for a charity anthology? It's an upcoming anthology to benefit cancer, as you can see...and the editor is looking for input on the possible covers...

I can tell you that I like three of these, but haven't really narrowed it down yet...just got this tonight...Nos. 3, 4, and 6 caught my eye though...any input here would be nice...thanks...

Congrats on the publication, Alan, and thanks for contributing. I tried to come up with something, but the subject was a bit to close too home, I suppose.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say you've contributed more than your share, and then some...and I have read that interview with you in the hospital back in '69, if I recall correctly, over on your blog site...as well as a few of your stories...so yeah, it's certainly understandable that it would be a bit close to home, to say the least...

The contests that I post here in the forum don't normally have fees anyway, for anyone who hasn't noticed...occasionally I will make an exception, like if the prize is rather large...but it's pretty rare...

"You’d love to enter writing competitions, but they’re so expensive. And what are the chances of winning? It doesn’t make good financial sense. You shake your head firmly, close the window on your screen, and sigh a little. And then, I hope, you remember that not all writing competitions charge a fee"...

Oh dear...I think I collect a number of things, or used to...don't really actively collect anything at the moment. I do have at least 500 records, probably more, mostly bought when I lived in NYC in the 80's. I have a fairly significant collection of automobile brochures, starting in 1972 I believe, and going up to maybe a dozen years ago or so...automobile books as well. I have about a dozen guitars, but not sure that qualifies as a collection...see my profile pictures...

Probably the thing I have the most significant collection of is Exakta cameras and lenses, which I started collecting in 1980. I believe I attempted an Excel spreadsheet several years back, and came up with about 160 lenses, maybe 50 or so cameras...

Do I really need to explain why? Well...maybe another day...

Pre-War Exakta 66 circa 1938...I have two of these btw...this picture is actually from the eBay ad that I got this one from...just an example here of a camera, and they introduced the first 35mm SLR in '36...
