This is interesting, and definitely worth checking out...if you've written something and want to find a market for it, this just might be the ticket...you can search by genre, or just browse all markets...

Just might be easier than browsing through over 1000 pages of Writer's Market 2011...

Thanks, Alan. That's an excellent site. I find Writer's Market a bit overwhelming.

I highly recommend Duotrope. I have used them a number of times. They have an excellent system for you to track your submissions and responses which I find really useful.

They also won't list anyone who charges a fee to read your work, so you can be confident there aren't going to be any catches to the markets you find.

DuoTrope is good...and I think a lot of places are using Submishmash and the like, which makes it real easy as well...and if you ever have any question about the legitimacy of a publisher or anything writing related, you can always check Writer Beware...

I know I have that link posted somewhere...

Looks like as of January 1, 2013 Duotrope will now be charging...this is not a real good thing on my budget at the moment...expect less posts in the contest/sub call section for one thing...

This might be rather useful to my writing friends...especially since DuoTrope is no longer free, as of January, 2013...
