Hi everybody,

I am new to this forum so I wanted to introduce myself and tell you about an amazing new contest that my company and a non-profit are working on that we hope will help some aspiring playwrights get the developmental support they need to really take their work to the next level. I am a some-times writer, but mostly a producer and my favorite part about producing is working with amazing playwrights on their work and fostering their growth. Please PM me if you would like to submit since I cant post links yet. Anyway I'll stop blabbering and share the details of this contest!!!


The Dennis & Victoria Ross Foundation and OHenry Productions are pleased to announce the first annual Emerging Playwrights Contest. We are seeking submissions of full-length plays from playwrights who are citizens or residents of the US. There is no entry fee.

The Prize: A winning piece will be selected by representatives of DVRF and OHenry Productions and will receive a staged reading in New York City.

How to Submit: A submission form is available on my website. Please include a title page with the playwright’s name, address, phone number and email. Submissions should also include a brief synopsis, and character descriptions. Submissions must be received by 11:59pm on Friday April 10th, 2015 to be eligible for the 2015 contest.
