Kansas City Voices is an annual publication of Whispering Prairie Press.

• The submissions period for Kansas City Voices runs annually from December 15 through March 15. Submissions before and after these dates will not be accepted.
• Art, poetry, and prose are accepted.
• There is no need for submissions to relate to Kansas City or the Midwest.
• All work must be unpublished at time of submission, including online publications such as blogs and e-zines.
• Simultaneous submissions are accepted. Please notify if your work is accepted elsewhere.
• Submission to multiple categories is allowed. The maximum number of contributions accepted from one person is 3 poems, 2 prose pieces, 3 art pieces.

I just noticed they seem a bit vague about payment there...apparently you get something plus a copy of the magazine, though what exactly they won't say...

Yeah, the payment info is sort of hidden. I found it by clicking on the Submit buttons even though I wasn't going to submit anything just yet.

For pieces selected for publication, payment is $20 per poem, $30 per prose piece and $25 per piece of art. In addition, one submission in each category may be selected as a "best of" piece and receive a $100 bonus.

That's not too shabby actually...especially $20.00 per poem...heck, getting paid anything for poetry these days is good...

If you decide to post this over on Facebook, let me know...I'll share the link...everything I post here I post over there as well, in case anyone is interested...

And I post a few things over there that don't make it to this thread...like erotic sub calls and the like that wouldn't be suitable for this site...you know, we have kiddies here...don't want to offend the kiddies...
