Anyone write stuff that might appeal to kids 8 to 13? That includes stories, poems, puzzles...just about anything it looks like...

At five cents a word, I might start writing some kid stuff...that can add up actually...

Thanks, Alan. I love that idea. I always wanted to write children's books. Articles sound a bit easier, especially when they only want around 500 words.

I don't know how you're finding so many of these calls for submissions, but you're doing a great job.

Glad you liked that Lisa...there is a related link you should check out, basically a similar magazine aimed at girls only...

So far I'm finding that C. Hope Clark's FundsforWriters site is the best source for submission calls, grants, contests and the like. The site and newsletters really live up to the name, and she really does an amazing job searching the net and finding everything that matters...and putting it in one spot...

I've been picking out a couple of things I thought were interesting and posting them...for one thing, I wanted to show people that there are other ways to make money as a writer than just writing novels and short stories...

Every single greeting card, bumper sticker, kid's book article and puzzle...heck, anything written...somebody had to write it...and most likely got paid...
