Here's a couple of ways for published authors here to help out the tornado victims in Oklahoma...in both cases, the proceeds from the book sales are going to The Red Cross, which has established a special fund...

Here's the first...I only have a Facebook page right now, but will update here as I become aware of anything else...

Authors for Oklahoma

Author Shelly Arkon is looking for book donations, including eBooks...I'm going to see how many copies of my own book I can stuff into a padded envelope, and mail it off tomorrow...after I sign the books, of course...

If you have any questions about this one, you can contact Shelly directly...her e-mail is: [color=darkblue]

Alternately, you can contact her through Facebook...

This event is for those who support the effort to create a charity anthology for the victims of the Oklahoma tornado, which devastated Moore, Oklahoma on May 20th. Inspired by the effort of authors and artists worldwide who created a charity anthology for the victims of Sandy Hook, we are now organizing to help support the victims in Oklahoma. "Angels Cried" is the name of the Sandy Hook charity anthology, and several hundred dollars have already been donated to help that cause.
The members of Indies In Action are currently seeking others who have poetic submissions or art which can be compiled to create a quality anthology to raise funds for the victims of this tragedy. All proceeds will be donated to the May Tornadoes Fund, managed by the United Way.
If you are interested in learning more about our previous effort, you may do so by visiting the link http://indiesinaction.blogspot.com/ . If you would like to contribute to the effort, please do so by joining the Facebook group Indies In Action at the following link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/IndiesInAction/
Be sure to indicate in this event that you are requesting authorization to join. It is an exclusive group, and we are selective about who we authorize to join. Thank you for your support, and please be sure to invite as many people as possible. I am particularly interested in hearing from people who live in Oklahoma, or who have witnessed tornado activity. This event ends on Sunday, June 2nd. At that time it is expected that we will also end submissions to the anthology. Please post if you have any questions.

My poem The Squall is among the selections, and other Stories Space members are contributing as well.

Good for you Maggie, and congrats to you on both your acceptance and decision to contribute to a good cause...

Yeah, I have an idea for a poem for that antho, but not sure I'll get it done on time...been distracted by a lot of real life stuff as of late...I'm not even sure what the deadline is, but the good news is that it's one of those poems that could be used elsewhere if I don't get it in on time...

I did manage to mail out three paperback copies of my book to the Authors for Oklahoma thingy though...

Well...it looks like the cover has been revealed for Twist of Fate, the anthology put together by Indies In Action to help victims of the Oklahoma tornados...

I'm proud to say that a number of my author friends contributed to this great cause, including our very own Maggie Rascal and Hulya Yilmaz...I have a feeling there are more contributors from here, but details are a bit sketchy at the moment...stay tuned to these here pages for more details as they unfold my friends...

Second, the 10th through 15th book bundles in the Authors for Oklahoma charity thingy have posted...my book is in the 11th, 12th, and 13th, along with Norma Beishir, K.b. Cash, Sherry Ellis, Lori R. Lopez and a few others...the idea is you make a ten dollar donation, for a great cause I might add, and pick which bundle you'd like to win...all proceeds go to the American Red Cross to benefit the Oklahoma tornado victims...check it out my friends...
