Discovered by me... Today!! This is Eivør, from the Faroe Islands. How have I missed her?

This track is Let It Come.

Somehow did not discover Keiko Matsui until today. She's been around and has played with the likes of Miles Davis and Stevie Wonder over the years.

Interesting trivia: the bass player on her last album was Kyle Eastwood, one of Clint's kids. According to his Wiki bio he has worked on nine of Clint's films. Doesn't surprise me given that Clint is a jazz fan and occasional composer himself.

I have fallen deeply in love with this performance of Unchain Utopia by Dutch symphonic metal band Epica. Lead singer Simone Simons is in top form here.

From the same virtual concert, another powerful Epica song. The "growler" is band founder Mark Jansen.

Which brought to mind...

Not usually a big fan of Swedish metal band Sabaton. In fact, I only discovered them because their drummer is married to one of my favorite singers. But this song really does a lovely job with the famous story of the 1914 Christmas Truce.

One of my favorite Youtubers right now is alto rock singer Violet Orlandi. Terrific voice and a lively personality that comes across in her vlogs. Here she teams with Russian cover band Shershen & Zaritskaya, whose lead singer Daria Zaritskaya is no slouch in the vocal department herself, for an eighties hard rock classic.

Had Dark Passion Play by Nightwish on in the car while commuting this week. The lead off track on that album is the magnificent epic The Poet and The Pendulum, here done live with current lead singer Floor Jansen. The album version is sung by previous lead Anette Olzon.
