After Malcolm Young died, I thought maybe these guys were done. But they are rockin' again. New album hit today. Malcolm and Angus' nephew Stevie has taken over on rhythm guitar, as he did after Malcolm had to leave because of dementia.

Wow, after basically turning their backs on the music industry in 1992, including deleting their back catalogue, The KLF (Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty, aka King Boy D and Rockman Rock) returned on New Year's Eve, posting several of their old videos to YouTube and releasing a greatest hits EP to streaming.

Yeah, I watched that, too. That's a tough one to argue with. I love it in either her voice or Tarja's (haven't heard Anette sing it, to be honest). That said, it's up against a pretty tough field. Another one that would be under consideration by moi is this Floor-era song.

I prefer Floor generally. She has the range to do justice to any Nightwish song from any era.
I like all the works that Nightwish have produced but I still find myself drawn to the album 'Once'.

The sounds of my new kittens racing and pouncing about my room and meowing, as well as my youngest grandson joyfully yelling and playing in the next room. All of this among the tap-tap-tap of the keyboard and a constant background of tinnitus-infested ears buzzing. It is known as the 'Sounds of Grandpa's Life.'

New Nightwish concert video that just dropped today, but was shot in Mexico City in 2015. Floor Jansen is in fine form here, both vocally and in her animated stage presence. And it looks like bassist Marko Hietala is wearing some kind of kilt??
