... the posts are gone. Why were they removed? We were having fun, innocent fun actually. It wasn't hurting anybody. Sure it was in a font that is specifically symbols, but we were quoting a song. And anyone who played the game Undertake would have gotten the reference.
Ugh, I'm done. I'm sorry but the forums have been dull. People are trying to revive the site and asked others to post in the forums and read and comment and try to get this place hopping again. But if we can't have some fun without it being removed like that what's the point. No one even bothered to ask what we were doing you just assumed. And how is that fair to us? Sigh how annoying screw this

Since I scoured the rules of the site and forums and found nothing on using a different font other then standard then there shouldn't be a reason to remove our previous posts. Other then someone just getting annoyed.

It was an exclusive exchange in a different language between two people, that excluded people who aren't conversant in it. Read the above, from your cohort: it is a language.
Nor were the posts random blurts, which is the topic of this thread. It was a back and forth meant to exclude the rest of us.

Discuss it with the mods. The language of this site is English. I speak and write in two other languages besides English, but stay with English here out of respect for all of the members, and also not to make an ass of myself and piss people off.

You don't have to be rude gypsy. You could have just asked for us to stop. And it is a font. Not another language. And it was a reference to a video game. The language was English. I can show you the tool to make it a different font. Just like those online tools that can flip or reverse what you write. And we didn't make an ass of anyone. That wasn't our intention. We were having our own fun. It that really wrong to have our fun and jokes?
And there is no rule on font.

You could have also asked us what in the world we were doing as well. Couldn't you? And we would have told you exactly what was being said. We weren't doing anything wrong or to offend. You took it as a personal insult it seems and berating us for it instead of talking it out with us. And the countless times something comes us you and I both have said to talk about things to smooth them over ourselves before doing something like just having them removed because that causes issues and unnecessary conflict. This was something that if you merely said to us "Hey we can't read this can you please write it in english" we would have obliged.
Not blithsake get off the pot. Because that was impeccably rude and if the roles were reverse you would have been insulted.

I removed the back-and-forth posts consisting entirely of emoji/emoticons/symbols (whatever you want to call them). They were exclusionary, a private conversation and inside joke between two people in a forum thread intended for all members. If you want to do something like that in the future, that's fine — but START A NEW THREAD, tell us up front what you're doing, and provide a key so others can decipher what you're saying. Then others can play along if they wish or ignore if they wish.

I didn't think we would have had to start a new thread. I mean we would have used the chat room but those were removed. I understand the translation part but this was blown completely out of proportion. We chose this one because it was random and it shouldn't have had the effect it did. If I posted answers in the font in other forums then yes I can see how that can be exclusive and infuriating to other members. But this thread was intended for nonsensical randomness is that not what it was intended for? Inside jokes aside, because there have been many instances I see someone referencing to something I didn't understand. If I must make my own separate forum for this I will, but I do not see why this wasn't handled differently then how it has been handled thus far.
