So now I'm speechless...

You know I wish science fiction, fantasy, those stories were more popular on here along with the longer stories, because they have more depth to them then the short stories IMO. Even in the good intended Critique rooms I have waited since the start of October for some feedback on rise and fall. Now I had forgotten I even made that post until I decided to check it again.
Sigh why is the sci-fi/fantasy/supernatural categories so underratted?

My friend Holly turned a picture of one of my guitars into a coloring page...she has magic powers apparently...and I can see this being the start of a new trend myself...

I now have over 30,000 views on my 28 stories. That is about 1075 views per story. I never would have thought anyone would be that interested in anything I wrote.
I also have a 4.95 scoring average. That is BS. It should be no higher than 4.25, I think, but people are just being nice to the old fart. (one of the more affectionate terms my better half uses for me, most are R rated and can not be written here)

Roland, how did you get the overall story view count and the average score of 4.95? Did you go through them all and add the figures up, or is it posted somewhere?

You can find all those numbers on the StorieSpaces Authors pages.
Click on the magnifying glass on the blue bar and select _Authors._ After that, select the beginning letter of an author's name. We are all there.
I only have half as many views as Roland, but I am .02 ahead of him in scoring! Curmudgeons win over Old Farts any day.

I think that you will find that most stories get more views than poems, but slightly lower scores. Most of your work is poetic in nature where most of mine is prose.
I believe that the higher view count is partially attributed to off-site/non-member readers. With a shorter piece it is often hard to find flaw enough to lower a score than a work of several thousand words. With a longer story it is easier to have flawed pace or flow thus making the story less interesting. Of course I could be wrong about that. Many of the nuances of good poetry tend to be difficult for me. It is a very difficult skill to put so much into so few words.
Another thing is the site itself. If you have been here longer, you will recall it used to be more difficult to get higher scored. Also older stories have a better chance to have picked up a 1 or 2 score from trolls. Otherwise you would have an even higher average than me.
