Mississippi Fred McDowell was actually born in 1904 in Rossville, TN but later settled in Mississippi when he got a job picking cotton...legend has it he started playing slide guitar using a pocket knife and a beef rib bone...here he shows us a few things he learned along the way in this 1966 video... happy8
