This is pretty darn awesome actually...Aretha Franklin...1970...
I once knew a drinker who had a moderating problem...

Early Van Morrison when he was with Them back in 1964, here doing the Muddy Waters classic...you know, there probably are words to describe how cool this video is...I just can't think of them at the moment...
I once knew a drinker who had a moderating problem...

I'm sorry poppet, but I fine myself gravitating to songs which give me comfort. I'ts been played before...

Sometimes I need music that is raw..that appeals to the bit of me which doesn't put a facade on...I like Ella..she's pitch perfect and she has a sound which is amazing but Etta, it's like she sings a certain mood - the ugly crying, the bleak honesty, that bit of you who has seen the abyss but still sounds beautiful...That mood you'll always listen for in music. I know I've played it before but I don't care

What???!
Playing songs you've played before?
Whatever will be next, -
wearing white past Labour Day?
Dogs and cats living together??
Socialized health care???

It will be anarchy, just like The Sex Pistols predicted!

Now, a return to those thrilling tunes of yesteryear,
the fabulous 1960's!
(Why, I remember it like it was yesterday - perhaps the day before...
Who am I again? Where's my jello? Oh look, mushrooms!)

This will make you laugh.
This used to be my favourite band.
I won't tell you when, but I had all their albums.
Ah, youth......................................................
What were we talking about again?

Stop me if you've heard this one before...

I could you say ' you amuse me immensely' but it's more than that, my friend...

And what you probably don't know, Ducks, is that I can bruise my knee or have my Big Chief wagon stolen
somewhere else, but I know I can always count on you for a warm smile and a lolly when I knock, sniffling, on your door.

Cheers, you.

"What the white whale was to Ahab, has been hinted; what, at times, he was to me, as yet remains unsaid.

Is it that by its indefiniteness it shadows forth the heartless voids and immensities of the universe, and thus stabs us from behind with the thought of annihilation, when beholding the white depths of the milky way?...
And of all these things the Albino whale was the symbol. Wonder ye then at the fiery hunt?"

...Ummm, skydiving? Really?
okay, poppet I'm in a Beetles frame of mind
