As I rubbed his head, he began to move his head up and down against the back of my hand, then started to purr. Google "Christian the Lion" if you are interested in a true story of two guys raising a male lion cub to adulthood then releasing it back into the wild of Africa. For a quick and touching glimpse into the results of their love, Google, "Christian the Lion Reunion." There are several videos from a few seconds to several minutes.

There were a lot of skeptics that said this could not be done, and the reunion would end very badly.
