Yay! I gots a badge. I is now a Forum Guru. To celebrate, brought in a box of doughnuts.
(Actually, badges aren't a big thing with me, but hey, any excuse for doughnuts, eh.)
I'll have some doughnuts.
I scheduled out three posts to go on my site for this week. I need a break from all of the writing I've been doing. I have a total of 50 post ideas for Blogtober and have to whittle some down or combine like post ideas. The little one is napping and I can clean up my kitchen before she wakes up demanding food or something else.

Good morning and Happy New Week! New story is finished but I got hung up on, of all things, the one-liner. First time I've ever got into a tussle over that. I'm going to start on a Moon Challenge story this week.
Had a nice visit with some relatives from my wife's side that I haven't seen in a long time (wife is Chinese so most of her family is far, far away) on the weekend. Son reports doing well getting interviews for his next co-op/internship job. All seems well at the moment, IOW.
I do love badges. Not sure why but they amuse me. I am afraid I won't be earning new ones anytime soon. My writer's block is alive and well. I'll keep trying though.
It's still summer weather here. Gong to be 95 by Wednesday, but relief comes on Friday with winds blowing in cooler weather. I feel claustrophobic with all the windows in my house closed.
I'll have a lemonade. I hope this Monday has been good for everyone.
Cheers!
Hello! I was in charge today for some reason at work. I told my supervisor that the plaster is falling from the ceiling thanks to the rain and there are leaks everywhere. I just got another post ready to be scheduled out. The little one commandeered my phone and is watching YouTube videos. I put it on some nursery rhymes and she just came up to me and said "Green." She's a two-year-old ball of energy that doesn't stop. I'll have an apple juice for her and green tea for me, please
Hi, Rump. Hi, Sharon. How's life? Came in for my morning tea and to respond to a comment on my story. My hometown survived a massive student party this past weekend (long story which I will tell if you're interested). Fewer arrests and first responder calls than last year in spite of a larger crowd. Only cost us CAD$300,000 to police it *groans and looks at property tax bill*
Cheers for all the listings, Bill. We appreciate your hard work!
It's gone from late summer to winter here this week. Brr!
Coffee to get me warmed up and going today, please!
Tea time! Okay, any time is pretty much tea time for me. Thanks to all who've been complimenting my latest. I love ghost stories and I'm heartened by the response to my latest attempt at the genre. If you haven't partaken yet, the link is in my sig.
Survived summer's brief (hopefully) last hurrah. Cool and wet today.
Still wrestling with my moon challenge ideas. I have about three different stories rattling around in my imagination, none of which really goes anywhere as of yet. It's all beginnings with no endings. I know it will likely involve the "dark" side of the Moon in some way and that's about it.
No fog or cool weather here. It will be arriving this weekend. Today they are expecting record highs. It is now 96. By Friday it will be breezy and in the low 70s. That is much more my kind of weather.
I've been hanging out with my cat Apollo. He has either an injury to his neck or a neurological issue. I came home yesterday to find him with his head cocked to one side and falling down. After a trip to the vet and some meds, he is a bit better today. We are hoping it is an injury that will heal.
I am trying to make lists of things I need to do and or hope to do and one for television shows I want to watch. One show I am eagerly anticipating is the second season of Castle Rock. It starts later this month.
I'll take a lemonade to sip out on my deck. I might as well enjoy most likely the last summer day. Soon I will be complaining it is too cold.
Cheers Everyone!
I think we need to start a library in the coffee house. I can donate several collections of short stories and my entire Stephen King collection to start with.
Too warm for tea, I'll have another lemonade and a bowl of ice cream. I'll be happy to share some. I have Rocky Road and Vanilla Bean.
Cheers Everyone!
