Found another thing that irks me.    No longer getting stories in my inbox here of authors that I follow. ... ๐Ÿ˜

Likely a feature that didn't get implemented. Hopefully you posting it here will get it on the list. I second the request, though I don't use follow much myself here.

Please remember the site was scheduled to be turned off and lost forever next month. A great deal of time and money has gone into saving it, a whole team of developers have been working on it for four months now. It's a completely free site to use, has plenty of new features but maybe missing some of the bits you might have liked. To save the site we have undertaken "mission critical" development for the must have features. Any of these other little bits can be added to a wish list that we will review and score in order of development priority in due course.

Anyhow's it's 2am here so I'm going to try and get some sleep now ๐Ÿ˜ด.

Thank you for all the hard work you and your team have put into saving Stories Space. I am grateful that the site was saved. I am slowly navigating my way around, and I love some of the new features. I know change is hard to accept, but hopefully, everyone can be patient and take some time to get used to the new site.

I see that messages are automatically moved to be deleted after 2 months. I am so in trouble on Lush if not here, I so rarely delete things and do need some of my older messages, I must do some house keeping there. Have all the pics automatically gone into the public file? I cant remember what was and wasn't public here, but I do have some in my private files on Lush that I would appreciate keeping private.

My latest story, Mardi Gras Competition: Sydney's Mardi Gras: We Shall Overcome

Some earlier stories:

Spooky Tales competition: Tales From the Crypt: Downunder Edition

Tam-challenge Micro: Under the Red Hoodie

Maybe my best story: Finding Pride on Oxford Street

I've spent the last couple of weeks cleaning up my stories space and red site accounts. I'd delete any private pics then upload them after the red site upgrades. I'd copy and paste or make screenshots of all messages you want also just in case things get lost.

I've let Jen know that the photo thing could be a problem there and she said she would take it up with them.

Know what? It's a good first step. Definitely needs work, but is going in a good direction. I know I have been a bit cranky because it did not live up to my expectations, but I would encourage people to stick it out for a while and see where they go with it. There's promise here.

One thing that I hope will be a priority is smoothing out the login process. I find that after logging in, I usually have to refresh before it actually shows me as logged in, even in the PWA. And there's the issue of Remember Me not working that I already raised. Fix login and you've got a major win already.

We so appreciate you saving our site and the money, hard work and input from your team.

We are very grateful. smile

I'm just finding my way around the new site and I'm sure it will seem like home in no time.

We're just working on this right now ๐Ÿ˜Š

Okay, so I uploaded an image to media to use in a post. But when I posted it, it had the URL of a swinger's site appended to the bottom and my name overlaid on the image. Best way to see it is to go to Media on my profile and click on the cake to see a full-sized image. Here's a snip, though.

Whoops, well spotted.

Interestingly, if I log out and view my profile as a visitor, all images but my avatar are flagged as 18+. Two of a cake and one of a river. ๐Ÿ˜œ Likely related to the overlay somehow.

Did you remove the images as part of troubleshooting? My gallery is empty save for my avatars (which I have now deleted since I am doing some tinkering with my ape).

I did indeed, it didn't feel right showing them with another site name on there ๐Ÿ‘Œ

We're being presumptuous that the majority of images may not be appropriate for guests.  Of course if that's wrong, we can reassess this.

My images were of a cake and a creek. The part that was not appropriate was the URL being added by the site per my screensnip above. And I had already used the cake in a thread. If you referring to the problem of images being Public that should have been Private, deleting them would not be the solution, putting them in Private would be. Now I probably have to redo my post after I reupload the image.

I think we might be confusing 2 matters here.

I removed the images that you uploaded that were wrongly being watermarked with another website's name and URL.  I absolutely accept they were just normal images and there was nothing wrong that you did by uploading them.  It was the site being wrongly configured that cause this fault.

For guests (logged out users), all images across the site are being masked just in case they are inappropriate for visitors to see because we don't know what content they hold (they are unmoderated). However, if it's the case that actually in fact all of the images are friendly, we can reassess this and simply show them to guests.

Ah, addressing my question about the public images being flagged. Got it. that makes sense in light of other issues.

I am having to use the Google authenticator every time I log on. Is that the way it is supposed to be?

Usually, 2FA systems let you set something like "Trust this device for 30 days" so you aren't getting prompted all the time. I use 2FA on a few boards and don't get prompted that often unless I am switching devices a lot. Hopefully they enable something like that here eventually. I am glad to see them using 2FA for people with superpowers, though. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hey, um, who approves avatars/profile pics? I changed mine (cropped to try to make it fit better in the circle) but the new version is stuck in approvals.

Your profile pic isnโ€™t showing up in the admin image verification queue, so I donโ€™t know where it got to. ๐Ÿ˜

Avatars should auto approve, but it's only working for mods or admin as it is a bug. We should have it resolved on Monday, but a mod will need to approve them in the meantime.

Magnificentrascal they are in the admin area, click top right on your avatar pic, scroll down to admin and they should be in there?. I don't have an admin account to do it I'm afraid and the office is closed now to make me one sad
