Here's another. The links in tweets no longer work. Do I have to make new tweets or is that being attended to?
Quote by AnnaMayZingGiven that the links in sigs were broken, I suspect that all the old links will be. Let me check the links I have on Wondercafe2 to see. Here's another. The links in tweets no longer work. Do I have to make new tweets or is that being attended to?
EDIT: Yep, broken. They likely need to put some kind of redirect in place so that links created before the upgrade will work. I have never dealt with this myself, but I have heard of other forum sites that switched hosting or software running into it. But, yes, you can fix it yourself by editing the posts. I am not going to bother with my old tweets but will fix some links I have posted on other forums.

Quote by AnnaMayZingOkay, so I fixed the links in my sig on my own site. Needed to (a) remove '-.aspx' from the end of the URL and (b) remove a "-" before the story title portion of the URL. So probably easier to copy and paste the whole URL. And since it is little things like that, not sure if there is even a simple way for them to do redirects. Here's another. Quote by VerityI didn't use the draft functionality much here (didn't copy it over from Word or Docs until it was ready to go), but that's disappointing because I know a lot of people do.
Another little glitch I have just noticed. I have just uploaded a story. After putting it in the box, the only option was to submit it. Usually it lets you look at it and make changes, edit. I can’t see a save draft button. It may just be me being thick.

Quote by AnnaMayZingYep. I mentioned this a couple times already. One of my main concerns about the site. Weirdly, though, the videos are embedded in the posts that had them pre-upgrade so the software clearly supports video embedding, it's just a problem in the editor. And another... Uploading YouTube clips and pictures to the forums? The camera icon seems to be connected only to profile pics and there is no YouTube upload so only a link appears. 😲

Question: Stories now have both the 5 star rating and a Like button. Does the Like button take the place of favorite stories and if so, are we able to get a list of stories we have liked? (Which would address one of the concerns raised up thread)

Quote by MendallaSo the camera icon on the profile comment does have an External tab where you can paste a URL but it still posts as a link rather than embedding.Quote by AnnaMayZingYep. Quote by DreamcatcherHm. I think all mine are there, though I had to click a View All button to get the full list.I don't mind change at all. It will take time to review the changes. So far it appears I have lost badges. Still checking everything else.

Quote by GodsAngelToo late. And it doesn't matter if it is shut to members since stuff in the Public folder is visible to visitors. The solution would be move all images in all accounts into Private or block visitors from seeing Public images. For the sake of privacy, should it be shut to members until it's fully ready?
By the way, it looks like cover images need to be in Public. I moved all my images but my avatar to Private and now my stories only show cover images if I am logged in.

Quote by Welshdreamer42I like everything. There are a couple of teething problems, yes, but give it time. It’s a great FREE site and it’s still here. Thank you so much x
Quote by GodsAngelThere is a really wide range of privacy settings on here, you can find them by clicking on your icon top right and selecting privacy settings, alternatively you can find support guides in the support centre. For the sake of privacy, should it be shut to members until it's fully ready?
I think there is some confusion about private albums showing publicly, I have checked around and they all seem to be private.

PS. I had pictures that were hidden simply because they were only on the site for use as story covers, weren't meant to be visible on my profile, and all were Public after conversion. I just wasn't too fussed about it because there was nothing terribly private, just had them hidden for convenience.

Also, your quoting system needs work. I had a hell of a time editing out parts of your post that I didn't want to include in my quote. And it should only include the new content in a post in the quote, not any previous content they have quoted. No other forum software I have used other than old StoriesSpace included quotes in quoted content.

Yay, at least we can easily multiquote now. Chalk that up as a plus.

Quote by MendallaI don't think that is the case, I have just looked at around 20 profiles and most of them have private albums that I can't access. You will be able to see all of your own private pictures publicly but that is because it is your account so it could be that. But if any users think they have a fault we can check the settings from the database that we imported to double check there is not a bug affecting selective accounts.Quote by BaronvonmontyI think there is some confusion about private albums showing publicly, I have checked around and they all seem to be private.
No, the problem is that all pictures were put into Public in the conversion, even ones that people had hidden on the old site. So pictures that people did not mean to be public, became public. And the only way to fix it is to move them one at a time since there doesn't seem to be a way to move pictures between albums in bulk.
Quote by BaronvonmontyLook, all of my pictures were put into Public even though I had some of them hidden on the old site. The fact that I have Private pictures now is because I moved them there as I was figuring things out. This is not about whether you can access Private, it is about where the pictures were put in the conversion. I know what I saw in my own profile and from what GodsAngel said, I am willing to bet that's what happened to her, too.I don't think that is the case, I have just looked at around 20 profiles and most of them have private albums that I can't access. Quote by MendallaWe copied the old functionality for ease of use, you see this is the problem if we had changed it people might not like it. And if we keep it the same people wan't it changed? It's unfortunately a no win situation. Like all this stuff it's a new site so give it a bit of time and if you don't like it let us know and we can stick it on the wish list and discuss it in the office. Also, your quoting system needs work. Quote by BaronvonmontyIt was something I disliked about the old site and was hoping would be fixed with more modern software. You do realize the other site involved has quoting working the way I describe, right? And since I am trying to highlight positives, too:
The New Posts page is nice. Love it.
The My Posts page is also nice but has a bug, I think. If I click View Post on a post in it, it takes me to the beginning of the thread, not to the actual post. Which is problematic given that some of the threads I post in regularly are several hundred posts long.
