For the most part, this is pretty basic, but might be of interest to some...most of it really applies to other forms of publishing, not just poetry btw...

And again, I'd like to point out that although "Poetry" is used in the title, these things pretty much apply to any form of published work...open mic tends to be poetry specific, but otherwise, the other tips can be applied to any form of writing...
