Alphabet Songs: A - Z

Hey everyone. This is my first Game Forum Topic. It seems many of us love music because of the plethora of threads devoted to music. With that in mind I thought we could have an "Alphabet Songs" thread to couple the "Alphabet Movies" thread. No maxium post. Kind of lame, kind of fun, expect much better threads to come! 😊

Amazon Love - Johnny Flynn feat. Lillie Flynn. This is an all-time favorite video to watch. Johnny Flynn sings so mellodically and lovely. His sister, Lillie, has a sweet voice. It's like a warm breeze. He also sings "Amazon Love" with Lillie on one of his albums, but it's on the piano. Another gorgeous piece of music.

Battle of Evermore - Led Zeppelin

Zeppelin is not generally considered metal per se but is ancestral to it and highly influential in metal circles. And one of the things metal picked up from them is a fascination with fantasy. This song is full of allusions to Lord of the Rings, which remains popular theme material in metal and rock to this day.

Thanks for sharing what you did about your Zeppelin pick. I used to listen to them quite often. I never thought of them as a metal band, more as hard rock, amongst a few other bands I've listened to in that genre. What struck me most interesting was that this song is full of allusions to Lord of the Rings. Lord of the Rings (based off the books) has deep Christian symbolism. It's completely different when watching it for amusement rather than enjoying/studying it's rich symbolism. I haven't watched Lord of the Rings in a long time but thinking back to the movies, I can hear the music beautifully.

Edit: After listening to the song I can clearly see how this song was a major inspiration for Lord of the Rings. Thanks, Mendella.

It's actually the other way around. J. R. R. Tolkien's original novels inspired the song.
