Dune comes out next week I think. This week's big release is the new Bond movie, No Time to Die.

I’m going to surprise the boy with Dune on the weekend. Second Dan black belt test then Dune to celebrate. Dune should look spectacular on the big screen.

Iconoclastically incorrigible or just a silly dumb ass...

I'm going to watch it on HBO Max first, but I do want to see it in the theater. Certain movies deserve to be seen on the big screen.

Looking forward to the release of The Railway Children Return on DVD in September. It was filmed around Haworth and Oakworth and on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, as was the original.

Also, I live in that area and saw some of the filming! 😀

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The recent renaissance of kaiju films has been wonderful for us old Godzilla fans.

I am actually intrigued by the new Nosferatu from Robert Eggers. The original and the Herzog remake are already two of my favourite vampire movies. Wondering if lightning can strike a third time.

28 Years Later as well. Along with

Nosferatu

Longlegs

Maxxine

Beetlejuice

The Black Phone 2 If you've never seen the first one and you like this type of movie, watch it.

Haha, okay, I'll stop, there seem to be so many.

I saw the trailers for Maxing and Beetlejuice; they both look good. I saw The Black Phone and thought Ethan Hawke was brilliantly creepy. I didn't know they were making a sequel. Bill Skarsgard seems like a great casting choice for Nosferatu.

Longlegs sounds like something I'd like.

A Quiet Place - Day One.

I saw Longlegs called the scariest movie of the decade. I wanna see all these movies. I’ve been staying away from the Maxxxine / Pearl / X franchise. Is it worth it?

Absolutely. I wasn't sure about X but I watched it and I was glad I did. There is a moment in it, that hit me on a deeper level. If you ever watch it, I'll talk about it with you. I recommend them. Well, at least X and Pearl, I haven't seen Maxxine, obviously. Fingers crossed they get it right.

I fully agree. I love him. Mom calls him my "pretty man" You know, your pretty man, the younger brother of Eric(True Blood) and Floki(Vikings). Haha, she is bad at names.

This means I will give The Crow a chance, even though I am the only person I know who didn't care for the original.

I liked both movies, but my husband won't forgive me for picking X one night. I love Mia Goth, so that might be why I like them more.

Firebrand

"In the final years of Henry VIII's reign, his sixth and final wife, Katherine Parr, becomes caught between the teachings of the Church of England and the radical preaching of Anne Askew. Years later, she avenges Anne's death by choking Henry, but it is in no one's interest to question what really happened."

I've always been fascinated with the stories of Henry VIII.
